The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary at its September 24, 2015 meeting presented to Ann Nunn, Administrator for the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Jaffrey, a check in the amount of $300 to support Alzheimer’s research. Each year Good Shepherd sponsors a team to participate in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's disease which will be held in Keene on Saturday, October 3rd. Ann explained that funds raised by this walk and other Alzheimer Walks through out the country are dedicated to research in effort to find a cure for the disease. Ann further explained how this disease has grown and that in the United States it is estimated that 1 in 9 people will be affected by it.
