Where Artist and Audience Are One

The Monadnock International Film Festival brings world-class film and filmmakers to New England’s beautiful Monadnock region, combining the area’s twin traditions of great art and social awareness.

The Mission of MONiff

Honoring cinema as the modern campfire, shining a light on compelling stories, international filmmakers and engaged audiences, gathered around our love of film.

The festival’s goal is to bring great movies and their film makers and actors, to the Monadnock Region. Our focus is on films that inspire as well as reinforce the beauty and power of film. We have intentionally sought out international, national, and NH made films to feature at our festival. The festival offers film screenings, two panel discussions with film makers, actors and directors, and parties on each evening of the event.

MonIFF was created through a collaboration of artists, local film makers and producers, community leaders from local non-profits, universities and colleges, social service agencies, and businesses. Our Board of Directors draws from a diverse group of individuals from throughout the Monadnock Region of NH.

The original steering committee began meeting in late 2009 to explore creating a film festival in southwestern New Hampshire, drawing from long tradition of the arts, film makers, directors and producers who have made this region their home. In June of 2011, The Monadnock International Film Festival became a non-profit and is working with Arts Alive!

This year the Festival dates areApril 10 - 12, 2014
