Hello fellow Rotarians,

I apologize that I will not be at this week’s meeting but I leave you in the able, if not better, hands of Peter Davis.

At this week’s meeting, we will hear from Val Zanchuck, the owner and President of Graphicast who will tell us about his company and he will also note some issues he sees with the NH workforce.  I encouraged you to google Val or the company and see some interesting material.  What fascinates me is how a high-tech company, located in Jaffrey, could be ranked as one of the top 10 employers in the state.

Our speaker next week is Len Sandler, a professor at BU’s School of management who has led nearly 3,000 leadership seminars for many Fortune 500 companies.  He will talk about his 7th book, this one about a fascinating WW2 couple captured by the Germans who lived to tell their story.  You can get a copy of the book signed by him at the meeting if you are so inclined.

We are trying to upgrade our speakers by getting more local businesses and intellectual speakers, Val is the first of the former, and Len is the second of the later, following Fred Rogers.  Let our new speaker coordinator, Nat Peirce or any board member, know what you think.   If you have any better ideas for speakers, let us know.

Yours in service,
Rotarian Banghart
