There is a good chance we may actually reconvene the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club at Wood Bound Inn this Thursday! It seems like it’s been a while since we last met and I am looking forward to our first meeting for 2015.

The Board of Directors met this morning and put the finishing touches to next year’s Slate of Officers and Directors. I will unveil this special group of people at Thursday’s Club Assembly. Much discussion ensued regarding the responsibilities of the many Committee Chairpersons. We have been a very busy Club the first half of my term as President and I have not spent much time following our Committees. As we head into the dead of winter, I would like to touch base with the Committee Chairs. Membership is always a priority for any Club and I want to help push for a Membership campaign. I think it’s time for our Club to sponsor a meal/dinner for the folks that would really appreciate it this time of year and would like the Service Committee to start working on that endeavor. My third thought is that we work with the Fellowship Committee Chairman to have a repeat of last year’s “Talent Show”. In the event you don’t know which Committee you are on, just see me. I will gladly send you in the direction of an opportunity to serve. In an effort to allow folks to prepare, I would like to request that all Committee Chairpersons make a presentation on what their committee has going on at the February Club Assembly on February 26th.

I really do intend to present our “Top Secret” award at this Thursday’s meeting. Do you know how hard it has been for me to keep a secret for almost 1 month?!

We will witness 3 biographies at this meeting. Sheila Bergeron will present Peter Russell’s bio, Peter will present Sheila’s, and then Don Upton will present John McCarthy's.

Jim O’Neil has the invocation. In the event he is unable to attend, Sheila still owes me a prayer!

Reminder that there is NO meeting next week due to the Martin Luther King JR Holiday.

Our January 29th meeting will be at Franklin Pierce University.

Warm Wishes!
