This Saturday, October 11 is “Scarecrow’s on the Common”. While this is not specifically a Rotary event, it is an event we sponsored and is a significant Community gathering. Please show your support by spending some time in the Rotary Membership Tent with Bob Schaumann or working the hay pit for a couple of hours Saturday afternoon. I apologize for not leading the charge on this event but will be traveling with the entire Lawn Clan to my niece’s wedding in Portsmouth on Saturday.

November 15 The Monadnock Club is sponsoring the District 7870 Rotary Youth Leadership Award [RYLA] event at Sargent Camp in Hancock, NH.

November 12 is the New Hampshire District Foundation dinner at the Crowne Plaza in Nashua, NH. Cost is $35 per person. Presently, Tom Doane and I are attending. Please contact one of us if you would like to come along as all are welcome.

October 18 at 8 am we will assemble at West Rindge Builders for roadside clean-up. This typically takes us about an hour and a half and is great exposure for the club. Depending on the response at this Thursday’s meeting, I am willing to host a chicken barbecue later that afternoon?

October 16     NO ROTARY MEETING

Note that Jed Brummer was in Tuesday’s Ledger-Transcript and I did not see his Rotary pin? He will gladly pay the Happy Fine.

Gail has provided the speaker for this Thursday’s meeting. Evan West of NH Hunger Solutions will be presenting. You can check out their website at nhkidscount.org

Jamie Birge has the invocation.

See you Thursday!
