November 7, ’2014 should go down in the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary History as the date of one of the Finest events since the inception of our young Club! With our “all hands on deck” approach we were able to raise more money than ever before. It appears we got top dollar for our auction items and folks were impressed with the quality of what we had to offer. The Reverse Raffle Committee lead by Tom & Randy did an outstanding job! They were like Brady and Gronk for the Patriots. Then you have the unsung heroes like the Patriot’s Offensive Linemen. They do lots of work but rarely get recognized. I’m talking about Sheila, Sam, Tonya, Sadie, Susan,  Dave T., Bruce and ALL the” Bills” in our club. Please don’t be offended if I forgot your name, it was an all-out Club effort.+

Clay and I got to shake the hand of this year’s Paul Harris Rotary Service Award recipient.  You could see in Dave Kemp’s eyes how emotionally moved he was for being recognized for this distinguished award. Job well done by the Committee that made that decision.

Remember that Tuesday November 11 is Veterans Day. Take a minute to think about the men and women that made the sacrifice in order for us to live the lives we do today.

Wednesday November 12 there are a few of us heading to the District 7870 Rotary International Foundation dinner in Nashua. Tom D., Alan, Emilyne and myself will be attending. This is the Award banquet where they recognize clubs that contribute to International Projects. I mentioned at the Raffle that we were #7 out of over 60 clubs in the tri-state area in donating to the International cause.

There is NO MEETING on Thursday November 13. Please tell your computer illiterate friends.

November 18  is the Board of Directors Meeting. We have big business to discuss regarding Membership and Quest. Good stuff!

November 20 is the Club Assembly at FPU. Treasurer Bill can clue us in on the “Reverse Raffle” outcome. We have a new member to swear-in as Chief Todd of Rindge joins the fold and there is the bios of 2 club members that will have to be a surprise!

Michael George has the invocation.

I’m ready for a long winter’s nap!

Yours in Service.
