It has been more than 10 days since the “Reverse Raffle” and folks are still commenting on what a great time they had at the event!  I am taking this as a sign that we must have done something right. The Treasurer or his trusty assistant can provide us with the details at Thursday’s Club Assembly.

The weather was perfect for Veterans Day and I enjoyed marching with fellow Rotarians Joe Manning and Clay Hollister. One has to be amazed how Joe still fits into his Navy “cracker-jack” uniform! Bill Driscoll was on hand to cheer us on and provide emergency services if needed.

November 12  a small contingency from our club including Alan Soney and exchange student Emilyne along with Tom Doane and myself ventured to Nashua for the Rotary International Service Projects Awards. Our Club was recognized for the significant contributions we made to aid the Milford Rotary in their $100,000 Clean-Water service project in Honduras. Personally, the high-light of the evening was seeing all the exchange students in District 7870. Emilyne and another young lady named Bel from El Salvador[ that stays in Hancock] sat at our table. Both students were engaging and their stories of international travel were intriguing.

November 18 was today’s Board of Directors Meeting. We had special guests from the Club attend this meeting as we work on the sustainability of the “Quest Program”. This was the main focus of the meeting. Every person in the conference room voiced their opinion on what “Quest” means to our Club and where do we go from here? You all know that I like the SHORT VERSION. Therefore…….

Quest is alive and well for the for-seeable future thanks to the Heartfelt contributions of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club and our friends!

Other business included accepting meeting minutes, committee reports, accepting a new members application and deciding where to hold the Winter Breakfast meetings while FPU is out of session.

Meeting this Thursday is at FPU and Michael George has the Invocation. The top-secret Bios will be revealed and our newest member will be sworn-in.

See you Thursday.
