This will be my last edition of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Bulletin which I must tell you I have quite enjoyed writing each week. Our Club has done some fantastic things over the last year. The Club’s distinguished Treasurer informed the Board of Directors today that we have distributed close to $30,000 this past year! The lion’s share went toward the many deserving projects right here in the Monadnock Community. I greatly appreciate the efforts of the Charitable Giving Committee, Quest Committee, Interact Committee and Rotary International Foundation in helping us guide where to distribute these funds. I would like to personally thank ALL of the members of our Club for their generosity and efforts in Fund raising. The Rotary District Hierarchy and the other Clubs in our District are impressed with the energy and growth of our Club. My hat goes off to the Membership Committee for an outstanding year! Many thanks to all the folks that make things happen behind the scenes. You know who you are and I respect your anonymity.

The Board of Directors works very hard at keeping our Club the best that it can be. I would like to recognize Tom Doane, Tammy Griffin and Bruce Edwards for all of their mentoring during my term as President. They have fulfilled their obligation to the Club and will be replaced by some of our newer Members. These will be big shoes to fill but I have every confidence that the integrity of our Club will stay intact. Please welcome Peter Davis, Jason Nero and John McCarthy to the Board of Directors. These are three top-shelf guys that will surely support President Sheila in the coming year.

This Thursday night is “Gavel Night” and I am hopeful for a good turnout to welcome Sheila onboard as the Incoming President. This promises to be a stellar Fellowship event and I look forward to seeing everyone’s significant others!

The next Rotary Club Meeting will be Thursday July 9th at the Shattuck. We hope to induct Travis Kumph as our newest Member pending approval of the Membership Committee. Also, we have invited the recipients of the two 2015 Rotary Scholarships [Drew Horne & Shelby Barton] to attend this meeting and accept our scholarship donation. I am sure Sheila will send out a bulletin before this Meeting with Speaker and invocation assignments.

In closing, I would really like to make it clear that I am totally appreciative of the support and guidance received by Members of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club. Many Thanks to you all!

Sincerely,

Rotarian Lawn
