I hope all found the August 7 Rotary Meeting with Pat McDermott to be informative and interesting. The “Northern Pass Project” is quite an undertaking.

Congratulations to Sadie Jackson on being our newest Paul Harris Fellow! We all greatly appreciate her efforts in the Club and you rarely see her without a smile.

Preston Clarke was not only gracious enough to bring a guest to the meeting, he also cleaned-out the Happy Fines Jack-Pot!

If you recognize my pick-up truck driving down the road with a tarp on the back, fear not. There is not a body in the back. I have the 300 signs for the Festival of Fireworks that I am trying not to spread between Jaffrey and my office in Manchester! We really are going to need some help with this project. I am riding to Swanzey tomorrow night with Steve Pelkey of Atlas Fireworks to review where these signs are going. The plan will be to meet at the Meeting House in Jaffrey Center at 7:30 am on Saturday morning August 16 and head to Swanzey to post these signs. If we could get 8-12 volunteers then this should only take a couple of hours. This is a fund raiser worth $$$$ for a small amount of time and effort. Note we have to take the signs down on Sunday as well.

September 9 is our Fellowship/road trip to the Peterborough Players. The Club has shown wonderful support in signing-up for this event! If you talk real nice to Don Upton, he may still be able to get you into this event?

August 21 will be a Club Assembly. We will hear the fascinating bios of Sadie J. and Randy Morse.  Jed has the invocation.

August 14 Norm Richardson will present Melanie McDonald to speak to us on what “Team Jaffrey” has going on. Sheila Bergeron has the invocation.

Look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
