Weekly Update 9/28

I played hooky from work yesterday and spent the day with fellow Rotarians and past presidents Mike Shea & Pat Foley of the Peterborough Club along with Rotarian want-to-be Scott Senechal [Donna’s husband]. The weather wasn’t great but playing golf at the very private Andover Country Club made for a great day.

Did you remember to sell any Reverse Raffle Tickets this week or come-up with an Auction item? The “Reverse Raffle Team” is working hard to make this the best event ever and we need to show our support. It is a very fun event and our largest fund raiser so please help out if you can.

Friendly reminder that there is NO Rotary Meeting on Thursday October 16.

October 11 is the “Scarecrows on the Common” day. We will be manning a 10 x 10 Tent promoting our Rotary Club and looking for prospective members. So, if you can spare some time that day to either help at the Tent or work the hay pit it would be greatly appreciated. Gail has the speaker for the October 9th meeting and she has invited Evan West of “NH Hunger Solutions”. Donna Senachal has the Invocation at tomorrow’s meeting which I’m sure will be spiritually moving.

Bruce Edwards has provided Fred Gehrung to be our speaker tomorrow morning. Fred is a local author and humorist. My kind of guy!
