Hi Fellow Rotarians,

This week's meeting is on Thursday, August 13th, at 7:15 AM via ZOOM.  A URL and Password will be sent to everyone shortly.

Many thanks to Roy Baldwin and his staff and, in particular, his wife, Karen, for their outstanding work in hosting Camp BEST for this, the 10th and last season.

Between now and our meeting on Thursday, please help by bringing your best ideas forward for our fundraiser this November. Time is getting short.

The first potato planted in the United States was in Londonderry, New Hampshire.

Yours in Service,

Jed

Executive Director and Rotarian Roy Baldwin - He Made It Happen!

Monadnock Christian Ministries Executive Director and fellow Rotarian, Roy Baldwin, hosted the Jaffrey/Rindge Rotary Club for last Thursday's meeting.  Catching Roy having a good laugh at something that someone said was our photographer, Harold Davis.

A Beautiful Award Shared With All -- From Camp BEST Campers

Roy Baldwin presented several awards that were originally made by the Camp BEST campers.  Each color at the end of the dandelion was created with each camper using their finger to paint one of several colors.  Each camper signed the back of the award.  Rotarians attending the Thursday meeting each received a copy of the award, courtesy of Roy and Karen Baldwin.

Roy Baldwin and Monadnock Christian Ministries Recognized by Rotary

Without Roy Baldwin and the Monadnock Christian Ministries Staff, Camp BEST would not have taken place this summer for 50 Jaffrey/Rindge Middle School children.  In a presentation by President Jed Brummer, Roy and his team were recognized with a framed certificate "for your service and that of your Staff that supported the principles of Rotary and for distinguished efforts that demonstrated the commitment you unselfishly provided for the betterment of the children of our communities" at Camp BEST.

Another Reason for Camp BEST's Success -- Karen Baldwin

Who's that behind the mask?  None other than Karen Baldwin who - along with Roy - made sure that Camp BEST was successful.  Roy made it a point to single out Karen and her organizational abilities that she demonstrated before and during the four-week Camp BEST journey that benefitted dozens of Middle Schoolers.
