Hi Fellow Rotarians,

We return to Franklin Pierce University for our Thursday Breakfast Meeting at 7:15am, February 7th. Sam Lafortune has the Innovation.

Is Spring in the Air?  Sure feels like it with today's "balmy" temperatures.  Alas, it will be short lived as Old Man Winter is apparently taking a hiatus.  Those who are looking forward to a return to the cold surely will not be disappointed, despite what Punxsutawney Phil prognosticates!

Those who came to the Thursday evening social at the Shattuck were not disappointed.  Good food and libation were there, but perhaps the most impressive part of the evening was the update by Reverend David Jadlocki, one of the key drivers of the "Got Lunch" program that was launched within the past two weeks... and to which the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary made a substantial donation last year.  David provided an in-depth update of the program, as well as those who are benefitting from "Got Lunch."  VERY informative.

Speaking about informative, the Jaffrey Fire Department seems to be getting more and more response requests that range from outright fires to automobile accidents.  Rescue calls are increasing, and these can include medical emergencies, too, as the Fire Department works in concert with the Jaffrey-Rindge Memorial Ambulance Service.  Captain Chris Bergeron will be our guest speaker on Thursday as he shares some behind-the-scene insights that occur every time you hear that siren and that are not always transparent to the citizenry.

We will also honor our Student of the Month -- a busy Breakfast Meeting, along with Happy Fines, et al.

See you Thursday!

Yours in Service,

bob
