The Experiences of a Vietnam Veteran

Vietnam Veteran, Rick Lambert, who served as an infantry Sergeant during the Vietnam War, provided an excellent presentation on his experiences serving in a challenging environment at a fire based in South Vietnam.  Following his informative presentation, Rick is thanked by President John Frederick, himself a retired United States Coast Guard Senior Chief Petty Officer.

All the Comforts of Home... not!

A young Sergeant Rick Lambert posed outside of his sleeping "quarters" while stationed at a fire base in South Vietnam near the Cambodian border.  Living conditions were hot and humid (temps around 100 degrees), and jungle rot and foot problems were the norm.  On top of that, the Viet Cong shot at you, too!

Russ Robertson Reflects

Russ Robertson, who only recently shared his experiences as a surgeon in Vietnam with the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club, stoically reflects on Rick Lambert's presentation.

Monadnock Rotary President Visits Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary

Narrative Peg Monahan, President of the Monadnock Rotary Club in Dublin, joined us for breakfast and took the opportunity to 'pitch' the upcoming "Community Walk for Recovery" that her Club is sponsoring on October 20th.   Good to have you visit with us, Peg!

Alan Bartunek, Prospective Rotarian

Alan Bartunek joined us once again as our guest.  Alan has expressed strong interest in becoming a Rotarian, having come to three of our Club meetings. Alan is already invested in Rotary, as he serves on the Camp BEST committee. Many Rotarians remember his daily presence as our staff psychologist on the Franklin Pierce campus in July. Hard to believe Camp BEST ended two months ago!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

Russ and Prue Robertson pose at Fenway Park this past weekend with Camp BEST LIT Abby Horne and our Rotary Youth Exchange student from South Korea, Sumin Jung (R).  Sumin is staying with Abby and her Horne host family in Rindge.
