I was born on April 16th, 1958, in Brooklyn and grew up in Bellerose, Queens, NY.  I attended Queens College and received my BS in Geology.  I then moved to Denver to work for Mobil Oil Corporation as a geological technician.  After two years in Denver, I moved to Iowa City where I went back to graduate school and received an MS in Geology and worked for the Iowa Geological Survey assessing abandoned coal mines in Southern Iowa.  I stayed in Iowa City and continued on for my MA in Accounting.  I met my husband Frederick Rogers (who was also studying Geology) at graduate school and when he finished his PhD in 1990 we moved to Rindge, NH, where he obtained a job as professor of Geology at Franklin Pierce University.  I worked at the public accounting firm of John Burk, CPA in Keene where I received my CPA license.   I then moved on to Joseph Little, CPA in Brattleboro, VT where I worked until 1998.  After eight years in the public accounting I decided to move into private industry and first worked for  Safety Environmental in Marlborough as the assistant controller, and then as the controller for MedCare Medical Group Inc., in Swanzy, and Crestwoods Lumber Inc., in Winchester.

In 2004, when I adopted my daughter Elyse from China, I took time off to be with her, and was then asked in 2006 to come work as the accountant for the Town of Rindge.  In 2011 I became the Treasurer for the Town of Rindge and still hold that position.  I am also on the board for the Jaffrey Rindge Education Foundation.

Currently, I have gone back to school for my true passion, Biology!  I love hiking, roller-blading, and bike-riding.  My husband, daughter and I live in Rindge with my dog, 3 cats, 6 turtles and 3 goldfish.
