We received compliments from District Governor Rich Berryman this week for results from the Rotary survey. Our District #7870 was rated #1 amongst the 6 states in which the survey was conducted. Thanks to all who responded so positively to this survey.

Bob Schaumann will be speaking at Thursday’s meeting to fill us in on what the Membership Committee has been up to. I have reviewed his committees proposals and am totally impressed with the fresh ideas they have come up with. I hope the Club Members will be onboard with the Membership Program as we look to add Leaders of our community into the fold.

This Thursday’s meeting is a Club Assembly but we will not be awarding a Student of the Month as the recipient is away on school vacation.

Don Upton will finally get his chance to enlighten us on the trials and tribulations of John McCarthy. I am sure you will all enjoy this biography. John had actually been a speaker at one of our Club meetings before he joined Rotary. He has traveled the world but I’ll let Don tell the rest of the story. John’s wife Paddy will be in attendance at this meeting. She is bringing a couple of Interact Students with her to talk with us about their upcoming trip to Nicaragua.

Make sure you add a little padding to your wallet for Thursday’s Meeting. All of these cancelled meetings have put us a bit behind in our Happy Fines Fund. I would like to get that Fund back on track as that money goes directly back to the community. Speaking of the Community, don’t forget that this Friday night is the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce “citizen of the year” event. Contact the Chamber Office for tickets.

Randy Morse has the invocation this Thursday.

I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday.
