Hello fellow Rotarians,

Putting up and taking down the no parking signs for the Fireworks Festival went smoothly thanks in large part to the outstanding organization and preparation by team lead Mike Shea with support from Belletetes.  The turnout, enthusiasm and comradery shown by the membership made me proud to be a Rotarian.

Water Sales also went well, thanks to the behind the scene work of our lead Matt Bergeron and the generous donation from Andy Harris and Hannaford’s. We weren’t quite sure what to expect so we were set up to sell 72 cases.  We ended up selling abut 10 cases.  Still a net of about $450.

Remember, your response to the Community Survey’s is due by August 30th.

This week’s meeting will be at the Shattuck, and will be an assembly meeting.  We will get the bios of Andy Lawn and Joe Manning.  Andy is always a hoot and Joe has a biography that could cover a lot of ground.

I don’t know if you all notice what an active and vibrant club we have.  As President I realize that more than ever.  I have not yet finished my second month in office but we have already completed a month of Quest, the flagship program in our district and our biggest service project of the year.  But in addition we have also had:
  • Our second, third, and fourth largest fundraisers in the Fireworks signs and water sales and the yard sale.  We have also had a half dozen meetings preparing for our largest fundraiser, the Raffle Party.
  • Three service projects: (cupcake cops, church parking, and firework signs)
  • I have presided in just 6 meetings but have passed out charitable donation in four of them.
Next week is our last week at the Shattuck.

Yours in service,
Rotarian Banghart
