Rotary Donates to Santa's House and Operation Santa

With Rotary Club President Jon Frederick in the background, a smiling Marilyn Griska (C) of Rindge's Operation Santa and Jan Wilkins (R) of Jaffrey's "Santa's House" had just been presented donations by Charitable Giving Chairperson Gail Therriault (not pictured).  Between these two fine organizations, many, many Jaffrey and Rindge children and their families will have a nicer Christmas.

Megan Graff Recognized as Interactor of the Month

To no one's surprise, Interactor Megan Graff was recognized as the "Interactor of the Month" by her peer Interactors at Conant High School.  Making the presentation to Megan (C) is Rotarian Sheila Bergeron (R).  Looking on proudly is Megan's mom, Heidi.  It was one month ago that Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarians participated in Purple Pinky Day, which Megan organized.  In support of World Polio Day, over $400 was raised that - via matching grants from the Bill and Nancy Gates Foundation and other organizations - resulted in a considerably higher dollar volume being raised by Megan and her team.

Don Upton's New Antlers

Not surprisingly, Don Upton - via his and Dorrie's generosity - now sport the most expensive reindeer antlers in southwestern New Hampshire.  At the recent Park Theater annual meeting, attended by several Rotarians, Don's winning bid of $200 resulted in his winning the coveted "Elliot's Antlers," while - at the same time - providing a nice donation to the ongoing Park Theater fund-raising efforts.
