Dr. Hank Knight, Director of the Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Keene State College, provided a thought-provoking presentation on the life of Dr. Lucja Frey Gottesman, a Polish physician, at Thursday's evening meeting at the Shattuck.  Rotarians learned that her research as a research physician might have helped tens of thousands worldwide who suffered from Multiple Sclerosis and Lou Gehrig's Disease IF ONLY her research had not been locked up for 45 years by the Soviet Union after she had been arrested and murdered. Dr. Gottesman was one of 11 million who died as a result of the Holocaust during WW II.
