This week's speaker was Len Sandler who is a professor at BU, an author, and a presenter at leadership seminars. He showed a fascinating slideshow of a couple who met in France during World War II. She was a socialite who became very active in the French resistance and was eventually captured, but survived. She met an American officer during the war, and they married right after the German surrender. He further described their move to the US and subsequent raising a family.
