March 16 Meeting
Our speaker this week was Jon Frederick, the new Town Manager for Jaffrey. He had only been on the job for eight days, so was not in a position to discuss current town problems. Instead he told us about his background. He went to the Coast Guard Academy for three years and then went on active duty, retiring after 20 years. After that he received a Masters in public administration from the University of New Hampshire. Arriving in Jaffrey after being town manager for three small towns in Aroostook County Maine – a very challenging job.
Jon and his family are very New Hampshire centric. He currently has an offer on a house in Jaffrey. His daughter is a mechanical engineering graduate from UNH and his son is at Norwich.They are looking forward to being back in New Hampshire
He is very impressive and I think a great addition to Jaffrey.
