Marek Bennett, from Henniker, hosted a three-hour BEST training at the Jaffrey Library on Monday, June 3rd, that was attended by about thirty Rotarians, volunteers, and Libary personnel, all who tried their hand at becoming a comic cartoonist.  Marek Bennett teaches music and comics in New England and the world beyond, and he holds an M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Keene State College.  As a rostered teaching artist with the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, Marek and the Jaffrey Library team will be key to our new curriculum and its execution at Camp BEST in July.  Here he points out the importance of "FAST" -- Face, Action, Scenario, and Text -- key components to a successful comic booklet.
