Hello fellow Rotarians,

This Thursday, Travis Kumph will provide a brief outline of the proposed Rotarian Nicaragua trip that will take place this coming April. Additionally, we will hear from Rebecca Hervieux, a horticulturist living in Nicaragua and board member of Travis' organization, FNE International. Joining her will be Leysman Mendez, a Nicaraguan native and director of SosteNica, another non-profit dedicated to empowering Nicaraguans through sustainable social development. The two will discuss their various efforts regarding housing, eco-stoves, community health, education, and agriculture in rural Nicaraguan communities.  If you are interested in an international service trip this will be your best opportunity to hear about it.

If you have any family members or friends that might want to make the trip, you should invite them as your guest for the meeting.  The trip is open to more than just Rotarians.

As I explained in last week’s message and during the meeting, this Monday was World Polio Day.  Following is the link to a video put out by Rotary and the US Center for Disease Control, if you have the time and inclination.

Yours in service,
Rotarian Banghart
