Hi Fellow Rotarians,

We meet at Franklin Pierce University on Thursday morning, April 18th, at 7:15am for our Club Assembly. Tammy Griffin has the Invocation.

Speaking of Invocations, Thursday evening's meeting last week at the Shattuck featured what was likely a "first" for our Club.  Our Guest Speaker, Dr. Hank Knight, a Methodist minister, and Kathleene Card, also a Methodist minister, shared together a wonderful Invocation.  Thanks to Kathleene for "engineering" what was an inspiring moment and a good introduction to an enjoyable evening.

Those who came to our evening meeting laughed much, ate well, and heard an absolutely engaging story entitled "A Light in the Darkness - Dr. Lucja Frey Gottesman" as presented by Keene State College's Dr. Knight, whose reflective song about Dr. Gottesman ended his presentation.  His presentation was one that struck a responsive chord in the hearts of many that night as we learned what might have been. If only...

Club Assembly this Thursday -- we look to committee chairs to provide updates on their committee's doings.

Mike Shea will be looking for Rotarians to join him at 8:00am at the "usual place" on Rt 202 as our Club, blue bags in hand, will be participating in Roadside Cleanup this Saturday, April 20th.

A reminder to a) submit your bios/pictures for the new Member Guide, and b) drop off a check to Clay Hollister (Rotary Foundation/BEST or both -- your call).

Yours in Service,

bob
