Happy Tuesday, fellow Rotarians,

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter with their friends and families.   Just a reminder that we will not be meeting this week due to the Easter holiday.   Our next meeting will be a breakfast meeting at Franklin Pierce University on Thursday, April 28th, at 7:15am.

On the good news front, we have already filled up 7 of our 11 team slots for our golf outing on May 18th that will precede our dinner buffet and raffle event.   Thanks to Andy Lawn, Jon Frederick, and Russell Gaskamp for your continued efforts.  If you haven’t signed up yet with Andy, please do so! Invites are going out to other Rotary Clubs.

Enjoy the week!

Yours in Service,

Ben

John McCarthy Shares Update on Nicaragua Project

Over the past five to six years, Rotarian John McCarthy has invested hundreds of hours to try to bring the Club's Nicaragua project to fruition, one that would have benefitted a dozen or so schools in that country.  At our meeting last week, John reluctantly announced that - after consultation with the Rotarians in Leone, Nicaragua - and having given due consideration to the Nicaraguan government's current policies, the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary will no longer pursue the RI Foundation Grant.  Following his announcement, John received many heartfelt compliments from fellow Rotarians in recognition of his hard work over the years.
