Hi, Fellow Rotarians,

I'm excited about being back in town for our Thursday, April 27th, meeting at Franklin Pierce University at 7:15am.

We had a successful Roadside Cleanup on Saturday, headed by Mike Shea.  Six teams of Rotarians and spouses/significant others cleaned up Rt. 202.  Fortunately, the rains held off.  No word yet on who found the most empty nip bottles of Fireball!

Mike Shea has arranged for Matt Keenan, President of Monadnock Habitat for Humanity and chair of its building Committee, to speak to us on Thursday.

I look forward to seeing everyone and congratulating our new members.

Yours in Service,

Peter

TOP: The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club recognized Middle School Eighth Grader Bryce Tarrats as one who "is a friend to many, one with natural leadership skills, and who has demonstrated resiliency and perseverance."  In making the presentation, Rotarian SToM Chairperson Sam LaFortune presented Bryce with a certificate and a Gift Card to the Toadstool Bookstore.  BOTTOM: Bryce's Middle School teacher for the past three years, Gretchen Booth, spoke highly of her student, while Bryce's family (R) looks on.

Lori Rautiola Inducted as our Newest Rotarian

Smiling broadly, Lori Rautiola, Rindge Town Administrator, was congratulated by two dozen Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarians following her induction as our newest Rotarian.  Jon Frederick is Lori's sponsor.  Congratulations, Lori, and welcome to Rotary!

Rebecca Frederickson, Jaffrey Civic Center

Rebecca "Becca" Fredrickson, Executive Director of the Jaffrey Civic Center, addressed the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club last week as our Guest Speaker, sharing the history of the Civic Center, now over 55 years old. Becca shared the broad range of activities at the Center, and she also focused on the Civic Center's future directions.

Sing We Must....and Rotarians do it well!

Rotarians sing "America, The Beautiful" at the beginning of each meeting of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary.  We miss Bill Raymond's harmony, but Owen Houghton picked up the slack!
