Dear Rotarians,
With Franklin Pierce closing for the holiday break, we will meet on Thursday, December 18th, at the the Cathedral of the Pines, at 7:15am. As in years past, the Conant High School Choir will be joining us to sing at our morning meeting. I will bring coffee and breakfast munchies.
This will be our last meeting until after New Years, so plan to join your fellow Rotarians on Thursday, January 8th, again at the Cathedral of the Pines. We will have a guest speaker, with speaker details in our first-of-the-New-Year J-R Rotary weekly bulletin.
The Toah Nipi Christian Retreat Center (252 Old Ashburnham Road, Rindge) is hosting their annual Christmas Party to spread some holiday cheer! You'll likely bump into one of our newest Rotarians, Eli Hodgson, who is on the staff at the Center. Santa Claus, Christmas cookie decorating, ornament making, and more! Hors D’oeuvres and dessert are provided. Ugly sweaters encouraged! The event is from 6-8 pm on Friday, December 19th.
Also on Friday, December 19th, I will be playing a holiday-themed show in the Lounge at the Park Theatre at 6:00pm. The Lounge is much warmer than the weather outside!
Finally, as we head into the New Year, it brings with it the annual SAU47 School District Deliberative Session for both Jaffrey and Rindge voters, as well as Town Meetings in both communities. Although this notice may be early, but for those interested in our schools, mark your calendar for Wednesday, February 4th. This is an important meeting at which the SAU47 budget and warrants for 2026-27 will be discussed, and ALL Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarians are encouraged to attend. The meeting will be at the Pratt starting at 6:30pm. Voting on the SAU47 warrants will then occur at the polls in March.
Okay, stay warm - Santa is coming!
Yours in Service,
Tom
