Dear Rotarians,
We enjoyed a delightful visit from the Conant Middle High School Choir on Thursday last week at the Cathedral of the Pines.
The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will not meet on December 25th or January 1st. Our first meeting of the New Year will be on January 8th at the Cathedral of the Pines at 7:15am. The speaker is a surprise.
Looking ahead, our second meeting of the New Year will be on January 15th at the historic Monadnock Inn in Jaffrey Center (on Rt 124). Castine and Gene, the new owners of the Inn, will talk to us about their vision for how the Inn will be revitalized. There will be a vibrant discussion of how we might improve our towns and make things more attractive to the 100,000+ hikers and tourists who climb Mt. Monadnock each year.
The following meeting on January 22nd will find the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club returning to Franklin Pierce University, and we hope to have Jo Anne Carr speak on the status of the Rt. 202 project and revitalization plans for the Rt 202/124 interchange and downtown Jaffrey.
It is early, but for those interested in our schools, mark your calendar for Wednesday, February 4th, which will be the SAU47 Deliberative Session at which the school budget for 2026-27 will be discussed, with voting on the School District warrant to take place on Election Day in March in both Rindge and Jaffrey. The Deliberative Session will be at the Pratt starting at 6:30pm. All residents from Jaffrey and Rindge are welcome to attend.
