Hi, Fellow Rotarians,

This week our regular meeting will be a club assembly at 7:15am, at Franklin Pierce University, on Thursday, February 16th.

Included on the agenda will be reports from two Interact students, induction of two new Rotarians - Jeff Dickler and Mark Hower - and a vote on our slate of officers and directors for 2023-24.  Bob Schaumann will be running the meeting, and there will be Zoom access for those of us who are away.  The ZOOM URL will be available at 7:30am (no passcode required): https://franklinpierce-edu.zoom.us/j/97081708307

Be thinking of ONE key area in which you would like to see Rotary take a leadership role in the communities of Rindge and/or Jaffrey, and in which you have passion and a desire to become personally involved.  More to follow...

Yours in Service,

Peter

Vanessa Palange, Homeland Security, our Guest Speaker

Vanessa Palange serves as the Community Outreach Coordinator for New Hampshire Homeland Security and Emergency Management. In her role with Homeland Security and Emergency Management, she is responsible for working with communities and organizations across New Hampshire to promote emergency preparedness.   A good discussion ensued following Vanessa's presentation that COULD very well result in a Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT) in both towns.

Mark Hower Fills in the Application

Following last week's meeting, Mark met with Bob Schaumann as part of his orientation to Rotary.  During the 40-minute chat, Mark and Bob discovered they both lived in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, at one time.  Here, Mark complete his application to become a Rotarian.  Along with Mark, Jeff Dickler will also be inducted as a Rotarian at our Thursday meeting this week.
