February 28, 6:00am --  Despite snow, Jaffrey-Rindge Schools are open. Thursday Morning Club Assembly will occur.  See you at FPU!

Hail Rotarians!

A different salutation this week as I try my best to do things differently to bypass the annual winter "funk."  Having half of our roof literally blown off in yesterday's wintry winds, I'm ready for Spring.  Then, again, aren't we all???  The first real harbinger of Spring will be Kimball's opening up in another six weeks. Time flies... but not fast enough!

We meet for our February Club Assembly at Franklin Pierce University at 7:15am on Thursday of this week (February 28th).   Ben Wheeler has the Invocation.

Committee Reports will be provided at our Club Assembly.  Interact members will also be at our meeting to provide our Club with an update on their international project. They will have little house picture/flags to sell for $5.00 each in an effort to raise money for their project.  Bring your wallets!

We'll also be recognizing a Franklin Pierce student for her efforts relative to Operation Can Tab. You'll find Jessica Strassburg's story quite interesting -- her efforts to recycle can tabs has benefitted children at Shriners Hospitals for years.  We'll let her share her story with you Thursday morning.

Please mark your calendars for Thursday evening, March 14th.  This will be our March Club Assembly and Ben Wheeler's Blue Ribbon Committee that has met numerous times since early January will be providing an in-depth update to all Rotarians on the progress that the committee has made and its recommendations.  It's important that all Rotarians be there to provide feedback.  The March 14th meeting will be at the Shattuck from 5:30pm to 7:00pm or so... hot horsey derveys (however you spell hor d'oeuvres) will be prominent.

See you Thursday!

Yours in Service,

bob
