Hi Fellow Rotarians,

For those at the Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration at the Park Theater on Monday, it was a well-organized program that was seen by a packed house. Dr. Aaron Mair, recent past president of the national Sierra Club and the Club's first African American president, was the keynote speaker, and he addressed both the adults and the kids in the audience, as many families were in attendance.  Kudos to Rotarian Owen Houghton and Conant Interact President, Ellie Weinmann, and others on the Committee, for a job done well!

In observance of MLK Day, the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will not meet this week.  Our next meeting will be on Thursday, January 26th, at Franklin Pierce University, at 7:15am.  Bill Raymond will preside in my absence.

Bob Schaumann will be at Hannaford's in Rindge for the Food Bank distribution, an event that occurs every 3-4 months.  Rotarians have been helpful in the past, and Bob is seeking volunteers this coming Monday, January 23rd, from 11:30am to no later than 1:30pm.   Please let Bob know of your willingness to help.  Many hands make work light.

Yours in Service,

Peter
