Hi Fellow Rotarians,

We are at Franklin Pierce University for our Breakfast Meeting this Thursday.  Peter Davis has the Invocation.

Our Guest Speaker on Thursday is one of our own - John McCarthy - who, three months ago in October, traveled to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, with Pure Water for the World (PWW).  While there, John met with the PWW project staff, visited project sites, and saw first-hand the efforts underway to address the horrific conditions in which the people of Cité Soleil's slums endure.  I think you will find the pictures from his recent journey to be quite interesting and a strong impetus for our Rotary Club to consider how we can help to collaborate with Rotary International and PWW to bring potable water to those who desperately need it.

Congratulations to Travis Kumph, who - as one under 40 years old - will be recognized in March by the Business Journal of Greater Keene, Brattleboro, and Peterborough, in partnership with the Keene Young Professionals Network and the Keene Sentinel, as one of 11 emerging business leaders from the Monadnock Region.  Congratulations, too, to Bill Driscoll (he's OVER 40!), who will be honored by the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce as its "Citizen of the Year" at the annual dinner/business meeting in mid-February.

Just a friendly reminder to ensure Bill Raymond has received your dues.

See you Thursday!

Yours in Service,

bob
