Hello, Rotarians!

We had a wonderful Gavel Night on Thursday, June 27th, at the Cathedral of the Pines. A big thank you to Stephanie Porter for the delicious food!

It was delightful to induct two new Rotarians, Thomas Ahlborn-Hsu and Christine Bergeron, and to present the Paul Harris Fellowship Award to Dr. Kim Mooney, outgoing president of Franklin Pierce University, for her exceptional contribution to the university and the community.

At this point, I want to thank our immediate co-Presidents, Bill Coleman and John McCarthy, and all past board members and Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarians, for their outstanding work last year and continuous support in growing the club.

There will be no regular meeting this week due to the Fourth of July national holiday. Our next meeting, a club assembly, will be on Thursday, July 11th, at the Cathedral of the Pines at 7:15am, and we will plan for the coming year.

The Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday, July 10th, at 8:00am at the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce to discuss possible upcoming events before our general assembly.

As your new President, I am proud to have on our Board of Directors past Presidents John McCarthy and Bill Coleman (Bill will also serve as our Treasurer), Bob Schaumann as Secretary, and Sheila Bergeron, Lori Rautiola, Donna Senechal, Russel Gaskamp, and Gail Therriault as Directors. This continuity in leadership ensures the stability and growth of our club.

Once again, I am very thankful to all executive team members for agreeing to serve next year, and I thank all Rotarians for trusting me as your new President. Your dedication and commitment are truly appreciated.

Yours in Service,

Rudra

FPU President Kim Mooney Honored!

Rotarian Bill Raymond (R) presents a Paul Harris Fellowship Award to Kim Mooney, outgoing President of Franklin Pierce University.  The University has been the "home" of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club for many years, and we have benefitted from the relationship.  With Kim is her husband and fellow Rotarian, Greg Walsh (L), who will also be missed at our chapter meetings when the couple moves to their Connecticut retirement home.

Guess Who Was Also Honored?  Bill Raymond!

Keeping our finances in order is no easy task.  It is more than just "writing checks."  Rotarian Bill Raymond (R), after 12 consecutive years as Treasurer of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club, is stepping down from his office.  Honored with a plaque that recognized his "outstanding dedication and service," Bill is flanked by co-Presidents Bill Coleman (L) and John McCarthy (C), who shared positive words on Gavel Night about Bill's many years of service.

Incoming President Rudra Aryal Shares His Thoughts

Rudra Aryal will serve as President of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club for 2024-2025 and is already hard at work, meeting with Rotarians and his Board members to gain ideas.  Here, President Rudra shares his initial thoughts to his fellow Rotarians, spouses, and guests, during Gavel Night festivities held at the Cathedral of the Pines, our "summer home" until the Fall, at which time FPU welcomes its incoming Freshman Class of 2028.

We Welcome Our Newest Rotarians!

It's always great to induce new Rotarians into our Club.  Gavel Night saw Christine Bergeron (C) and Thomas Ahlborn-Hsu (R) inducted as our newest Rotarians.  That's Rotarian Sheila Bergeron standing next to daughter-in-law and new Rotarian, Christine!
