Good afternoon, Fellow Rotarians,

Happy Tuesday, and I hope all had a great Father’s Day weekend.  Thanks to those who attended our meeting last week, where we recognized our Scholarship Winner, Heather Gonyea, and where we heard from Rindge resident, Taylor Ratcliffe, and her presentation about her weekly column in the Monadnock-Ledger Transcript.

We will meet at Franklin Pierce University for our weekly Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, June 23rd, at 7:15am.  However, we will be in the lower level of the cafeteria (make a right down the hallway past the coffee station) instead of going to the back room in which we usually find ourselves.

Gavel Night will be at Peter and Jinnie Russell's home in Jaffrey at 4 Gilson Road on Thursday, June 30th, at 5:30pm.  After hosting Gavel Night for many years, Peter will become our new President.  As one of President Ben's last last duties, he will induct our newest Rotarian, Tom Frazier.  As always, a scrumptious feast is planned, catered by our own Stephanie Porter.  Bring your spouse or significant other.  This is a BYOB event.

Have a great week, and I hope to see you all on Thursday

Yours in service,

Ben

Heather Gonyea, 2022 Scholarship Winner

Heather Gonyea is the recipient of this year's Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club $2500 scholarship.  Pictured here with her proud mother, Heather will attend college in the fall and plans to become an actuarial accountant upon graduation and, as she says, "hopefully, in three years."  Heather, a member of the Interactors, graduated this month from Conant High School in Jaffrey.

Taylor Ratcliffe, Columnist, Monadnock Ledger-Transcript

Taylor has been a columnist for the town of Rindge for some time.  Her column appears weekly in the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript. As one who has always had a passion for writing, Taylor commented on her experiences, sharing background on how she comes up with her stories, while - at the same time - entertaining several questions from interested Rotarians.
