Our next Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club meeting will be held at Franklin Pierce University on Thursday, March 13, at 7:15am.
Please note that on March 20th - due to FPU's spring break - we will meet at the Cathedral of the Pines.
This week, we are pleased to welcome Cyndy Burgess from the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce, who will share updates on town activities and ongoing Chamber of Commerce initiatives. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our community and towns!
Last week's meeting began with an invocation prayer led by Jon Frederick, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a heartfelt rendition of America the Beautiful. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee time, and it was great to hear members share personal stories at each table. The Happy Fines moment was filled with inspiring and touching stories from our fellow Rotarians.
I thank Venu Rao, last week's special speaker, for sharing information about the Rotary Foundation and how Rotary Clubs are making a difference globally. His presentation was very useful for learning about funding opportunities at the district and global levels, reinforcing Rotary's mission to bring people together for a greater cause.
This year's Annual Golf Tournament and Social Event will take place at The Shattuck in Jaffrey on May 21. Mark your calendars! The Fellowship Committee has already started planning to ensure the success of the event.

Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Recognizes Student of the Month
Rotarian "Sam" Lafortune reads positive comments about Abigail Bonzagni, a Fifth Grader at the Jaffrey Grade School. Abigail was recognized as our "Student of the Month" for January as a positive role model for others in her school, her demonstrated strong work ethic, unwavering optimism, and her wonderful eagerness to help others. A series of Thursday "snow days" prevented Abigail's being honored in February. Standing immediately behind Abigail are her proud parents, Christopher and Jennifer Bonzagni.
