Fellow Rotarians,
The COVID-19 actions taken locally are several:
- The Town of Jaffrey postponed Town Meeting to April 18th.
- The Jaffrey-Rindge School District is closed until further notice.
- The Governor declared a state of emergency late Friday afternoon.
- All Jaffrey town facilities will be closed Monday.
- The Governor just directed all schools in NH to close for at least three weeks and shift to distance learning.
Rotary International is recommending suspension of meetings. District 7870 has cancelled the District Conference and is recommending we take a hard look at our meetings.
I have consulted our Board of Directors, and we have agreed to cancel our Thursday, March 19th, meeting at Woodbound Inn. We will evaluate future meetings on a weekly basis.
As we move forward through this crisis, please protect yourselves and your community by practicing social distancing, frequent hand washing, and other best practices being recommended by health authorities.
