Dear Rotarians,

This week, as Franklin Pierce University is on spring break, we will have our regular meeting on Thursday, March 26th, at 7:15am, at the Cathedral of the Pines. Our speaker will be myself, and the topic will be effective ways to teach science and engineering in middle and high school. I have spent 35 years creating apparatus and curriculum that engages kids and teachers. After working with more than 15,000 science teachers across the US and around the world, we will look at things that truly work!

Next week, we are back at Franklin Pierce University on Thursday, April 2nd, at 7:15am. We have scheduled a speaker from the Rindge Chamber of Commerce.

For those who missed last meeting, we will have tickets and posters available for our new and exciting summer fundraiser event. Mark the date - Thursday July 23rd!

NOTE: The Jaffrey Chamber will have their annual meeting and cocktail reception on Thursday evening, March 26th, from 5:30 - 7:30pm, at the Park Theatre. As a supporting sponsor, Rotary has eight (8) tickets to sell to members at $25/ticket. You can get the tickets at the Chamber - tell them you are from Rotary; they know we purchased eight tickets. I will also have some at the meeting on this Thursday.

NOTE: The Lions Club is looking for help with their Community Supper, which is Thursday evening, March 26th.  Talk to Owen Houghton or Teresa Biggs if you want to help.

Stay warm!

Yours in Service,

Tom

Rotarians Russ Gaskamp, Andy Lawn, and Ben Wheeler took a moment to share a fun way to "make up" a missed meeting via snowboarding a few weeks ago.  Not sure if it reeeeeeeeally counts as a make-up, but we'll give you credit for trying, guys!
