Hi Fellow Rotarians,

We meet at Franklin Pierce University on Thursday morning, March 7th, at 7:15am.  Clay Hollister has the Invocation.

It was a busy Club Assembly last week -- and we welcomed Russell Gaskamp, a seven-year Rotarian and the new FPU football coach, to our breakfast meeting.  Welcome aboard, Russell!  Good to see Andy Card again, too.

Between Wren and Siobhan (Interactors) and the contingent of four FPU students who head up the "Operation Can Tab" efforts chaired by Jessica Strassburg, we had quite a few guests.  Randy Morse had us involved in an interesting exercise in which we wrote down - in 30 seconds - why we are Rotarians.  Randy will be sharing your responses at our key meeting at Shattuck on Thursday evening, March 14th.

This will be an important meeting. Ben Wheeler, who has ably chaired the Blue Ribbon Committee that has met numerous times since January, will be providing an update on the Committee's recommendations.  ALL Rotarians are urged to attend the meeting, which begins at 5:30pm at the Shattuck.  We had an 83% turnout in November at which time good comments were shared by many in our Club.  Come and learn what has since transpired and in response to your reflections shared just before Thanksgiving. Yes, hot and cold hors d'oeuvres will be available.

Clay Hollister will be our guest speaker at Thursday's Breakfast Meeting.  Clay's presentation will be on "The Oklahoma City Bombing - Response Recovery Operations."  At the time, Clay headed up the FEMA investigation that investigated the 1995 terrorist bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City, which killed 168 adults, including 19 children.

A reminder that should it snow Wednesday into Thursday, the President's Message will have a notice ADDED to the top that - by 6:00am Thursday morning - lets Rotarians know if the meeting is cancelled.  The rule is simple: If the Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District cancels classes, the Rotary meeting is cancelled.  Should there be a two hour delay, the Rotary Club WILL meet that same day.

See you Thursday!

Yours in Service,

bob
