Hi Fellow Rotarians,

Thanks to the Committee members who did an outstanding job on last week's Golf Event and Auction.  Kudos to Rotarians Russell Gaskamp, Jon Frederick, and Andy Lawn, each of who made this a fun event and successful fundraiser!  A fine dinner, plenty of camaraderie, lots of laughter, and a good time was had by all.  Thanks, too, to Rotarian Greg Walsh, our premier auctioneer!

Our next meeting of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will be at the Cathedral of the Pines on Thursday, May 25th, at 7:30.  No breakfast at the Cathedral, but there will be coffee and donuts.

Our Guest Speaker Thursday morning will be Alan Rumrill, Executive Director of the Historical Society of Cheshire CountyHis presentation is "A Journey on the Manchester & Keene Railroad.“  Take a journey into the history of the Monadnock region’s most difficult, spectacular, and short-lived rail line.  The Manchester & Keene Railroad traversed a 30-mile route from Keene through Roxbury, Marlborough, Harrisville, and Hancock to Greenfield.  Learn the story of the region’s most interesting rail line and view the sights and stations along the railroad’s route.  Should be quite interesting, as Alan has numerous pictures to share that show railroading in our past.

Yours in Service,

Peter
