Hi, Fellow Rotarians,

This week we'll have our last meeting of the spring at Franklin Pierce University.  Join us Thursday at 7:15am for the Interactors' presentations on their recent trip to the Dominican Republic.  The Club will also recognize the Interactor of the Month and Student of the Month.

Remember the Golf Event at the Shattuck on May 17th.  The committee is still looking for a few good quality auction items.

Starting May 25th, we will be meeting at the Cathedral of the Pines, as Franklin Pierce University's classes will have finished their Spring Term.

Yours in Service,

Peter

Reverend Jessica Johansson, Guest Speaker

The subject of end-of-life and what occurs can be very fascinating.  Reverend Jessica Johansson, an ordained interfaith minister, shared insights on end-of-life care and stories of her personal experiences assisting others as they ended their life's journey on this earth.

"Reverend" Owen Houghton Invocates

Yes, invocates is a word!  The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club is blessed to have three Rotarians who provide thoughtful invocations that begin our weekly meetings.  This past Thursday, Rotarian "Reverend" Owen Houghton leads us off with a thoughtful invocation.  The previous two weeks saw two Rotarians - Steve Miller and Kathleene Card, both ordained ministers - provide inspiring messages when they invocated.

Mike Perrault, Our Newest Rotarian

TOP:  President Peter Russell (L) inducts our newest Rotarian, Mike Perrault (C).  Standing next to Mike is Bob Schaumann, Mike's Rotary sponsor.  Mike is an active duty United States Marine Corps Sergeant Major who is stationed at Fort Devens.  Mike and his wife, Kelly, moved to Rindge not too long ago.  Welcome aboard, Mike!
MIDDLE:  Following his induction, as is our Club custom, each Rotarian congratulated Mike.
BOTTOM:  Mike quickly gets into the swing of things as he contributes to Happy Fines, as Sam LaFortune and Reverends Jessica Johansson and Kathleene Card look on with approval.

Happy Fines' Stories

For only a few dollars, Rotarians can tell their recent story, as Rotarians share tales about themselves, their kids, or recognize others.  Some good-natured ribbing goes along with Happy Fines. TOP TO BOTTOM:  Bill Raymond, David Jeffries, Richard Pedott, and Sheila Bergeron share their "latest and greatest."
