Fellow Rotarians,
We meet this week on Thursday afternoon at the Pearly House at Franklin Pierce University for our club social. As you come into the University's main entrance off of Rt 119, the Pearly House is the first residence on your left side. The event begins at 4:00pm and concludes at 5:30pm. Twenty-one Rotarians and 11 guests will be in attendance. Thank you for RSVP’ing to Heather Ringwald.
During our Board of Directors meeting last Thursday, Bill Raymond gave us the final numbers for the Raffle Party. We raised a significant amount of money, which we will reinvest in our two communities per the recommendations of our Charitable Giving Committee. Great job on ticket sales... with 233 tickets sold, and an estimated 150 people in attendance who bid on numerous trips and prizes.
The Raffle Committee had a debrief of the evening’s events following our November 7th meeting. Several suggestions were made to improve the event next year. Planning for 2020 is under way with the search for a new venue. The Shattuck’s ball room is under construction, and its new design will not accommodate the Raffle Party.
We have no meeting next week due to Thanksgiving and, in the spirit of the holiday, the next bulletin will be sent on December 3rd. Our next regular morning meeting will be December 5th at Franklin Pierce University.
