Hello Fellow Rotarians,

Wishing you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving holiday. Safe travels!

On the good news front, our Raffle Event went well; we sold almost all of the 2,000 tickets (great job!!), and we raised roughly $4,500 for the Club, which given the circumstances and tight time-frames was no small feat.   Thanks, again, to the Cathedral of the Pines and Greg Walsh for hosting us; Jon Frederick and Stephanie Porter for running the event, including the Zoom feed, and to all of the Rotarians and future Rotarians that pro-actively sold their raffle tickets.

On another positive front, it was also great to recognize Paddy McCarthy as a Paul Harris Fellow for all of the great community service she has provided over the years.   Congratulations, Paddy, and a big THANK YOU to Clay Hollister for putting together the fitting tribute.

On the “not-so-good" news front, multiple attendees at Thursday’s raffle event have tested positive for COVID.   Based on this, the Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel all Rotary Club meetings through the Holiday season.

This will be a fluid situation that we will closely watch, but as of the moment, we will not be meeting again as a Club until early January.  We will work with Bill Coleman to reschedule speakers, new Rotarian inductions, and student recognitions for our January meeting schedule.

Ending on a positive note, we DO have much for which to be thankful.  Please safely enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with those whom you love.

Yours in service,

Ben
