Hi Fellow Rotarians,

We meet at Franklin Pierce University for our Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, November 8th.  Dan Anair has the Invocation.

Al and Nancy Clapp were honored with our annual Paul Harris Service Award on Friday at our annual Rotary Raffle Party. Clay Hollister did a stellar job with his presentation of this couple's many significant contributions. In addition, Tonya Albee was honored earlier in the week with the Marion Mack Johnson Civic Leadership Award.  Nice to see these three good people so appropriately honored for exemplary civic service over many years.

Treasurer Bill Raymond will share the positive financial news of our Raffle Party on Thursday.  We raised a significant amount of money, all of which (less Raffle Party expenses) will be returned over the next several months via our Charitable Giving Committee to non-profit organizations and related causes in Jaffrey and Rindge.

A special shout out to Misty, as well as those who were able to come out on Friday morning to help out with the set-up.  This annual fund raiser has always been one of those "things-come-together-last-minute-to-ensure-success" events.  We learned much from this that can be put to use next year.  Right now, I ask everyone to "stand down" and relax, especially Misty and her committee.  Misty, simply speaking, a big THANK YOU from all of us!

We host Geoffrey Garfinkle, Director of Recreation Therapy at Crotched Mountain, as our guest speaker this week.  In addition, our Student of the Month for October will be recognized.  Along with Bill's financial report on the Raffle Party, it will be a busy morning.

See you at breakfast!

Yours in Service,

bob
