Dear Rotarians,
This Thursday, October 31st, the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet at Franklin Pierce University at 7:15am. We will enjoy coffee and breakfast together. Jeff Lefkovich, the Executive Director of Real Estate and Senior Living Development at Catholic Charities NH, will be our speaker.
We will also take a moment to thank all members for their hard work in making the raffle event successful, and we give special thanks to Sam LaFortune for organizing this event. Many Rotarians have been involved at Woodbound Inn the morning of this major fund-raiser to set up all the baskets, the musical system, and other arrangements! I am honored and proud to see all the Rotarians' enthusiasm for "working together with the community and for the community." Following our November board meeting, the fundraising event report will be shared with our members.
On the same day, October 31st, we will join Team Jaffrey in the late afternoon, and set up a table and banner for the Halloween candy distribution event on Jaffrey's Main Street. It should be a lot of Halloween fun! Please feel free to join this event if you have a free schedule, and I will provide more detailed information during our morning meeting.
Last week, the meeting began with an invocation prayer led by Rotarian Ben Wheeler. We were honored to have three Interact students from Conant High School join us, accompanied by Interact Club Coordinator Paddy McCarthy. The students fundraised in recognition of World Polio Day, which, coincidentally, fell on the same day, October 24th, as our regular meeting day. We proudly supported their efforts by donating to the cause during the "Purple Pinkie Day" event -- a Rotary initiative to raise awareness and funds for polio eradication. Additionally, the club discussed plans for last week's Raffle Party, outlining the program schedule. Our members participated in the meeting, and this discussion significantly contributed to the program's effectiveness.
We always appreciate the enthusiasm and effort you bring to our club. Your continued participation and insights are the foundation of our vibrant group. Each of you makes a tremendous impact, and I am truly grateful for your dedication. Your commitment to our club's success is incredible, and we look forward to your ongoing support and involvement.
Yours in Service,
Rudra
