Happy Tuesday, Fellow Rotarians,

First of all, I would like to thank all Rotarians (and their significant others) that were able to attend the FPU football team dinner at the Cathedral of the Pines Thursday evening.   Attendance was very strong, and I have received very positive feedback from both Russell Gaskamp and the FPU football players, as well as many Rotarians.  I would definitely rate this a successful event!

Our meeting this week will be a Club Assembly on Thursday, September 16th, at 7:15am, at Franklin Pierce University.

A reminder that our District Governor, John Bob Siemienowicz, will be at our Breakfast meeting next week on September 23rd; please do your best to be in attendance that day.

Have a great week!

Yours in Service,

Ben

Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Dinner Honors FPU Football Team

As many as 80 FPU Football Team Players and Coaches were recognized by the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club on Thursday, September 9th, for their service to the community.  Over the years, the team - under Rotarian and Head Coach Russ Gaskamp - has participated in numerous Rotary events where manpower was needed, including recent Food Bank distributions at Hannaford's, the pre-pandemic Police/Fire/EMS dinner honoring our first responders from Jaffrey and Rindge, and other events.  Pictured above, players get in line for a meal that consisted of barbequed pork ribs and barbequed chicken, chili, baked beans, multiple salads, and tons of cookies and brownies.  No one left hungry from the dinner, which was held in the Hilltop House at the Cathedral of the Pines.

Rotarians Serve Hungry Football Players!

Over twenty Rotarians cooked, grilled, prepared food, served, and helped to make the event a success!  Rotarians from both ends of the serving line are shown, as they filled the plates of hungry football players.  Nearly 200 lbs. of barbequed pork ribs and barbequed chicken were consumed.  A hungry bunch!

Coach Gas Thanks the FPU Football Team and Rotary

Coach Gas thanks the Team for their hard work in support of various Rotary activities, as well as giving a shout out to the Rotary Club for their preparation of the dinner.  Who says a little rain stopped Rotarians?
