Hello Fellow Rotarians,

This week's meeting on Thursday, September 17th, will be at 7:15am via ZOOM.  Up for discussion will be our future meetings - via ZOOM or in person?

At next week's meeting on September 24th, we will hear from one of our own, Jon Frederick, Jaffrey Town Manager, who will speak on the history of Jaffrey water, past, present, and its future.

Did you know that the first ski club in the United States was the Nansen Ski Club in Berlin, New Hampshire, established in 1882?

A Rotarian in service,

Jed

The Walk is Coming!!!!!!
September 26th and the 2020 Western NH Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Our committee has been working throughout the year to plan this year's event, and despite all of the adversity we are all currently experiencing, we have a great event planned.  We are thrilled to see a record number of teams signed up to participate, along with record local corporate giving! However……

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO COMPLETE THE WORK!!! To end this ravaging disease, we need your help in raising the dollars needed now more than ever for research, support, and education. Walking is so important to show your support, but it is mission-critical to have our walkers help us raise money for those impacted by Alzheimer's or another related dementia.

You can help by:
  1. Asking people for their support and securing donations
  2. Giving to the event, if you're unable to join us in Walking
  3. Use Social Media as a way of letting your loved ones know how they can help your efforts!
  4. Start a Team
  5. Growing your team by recruiting more team members

Our group has done an outstanding job, but in all honestly, we can't finish the job without the help of the entire community.

Our 2019 Co-Chair, Owen Houghton, says, " The reality of the inevitable ending sustained our family to the end of her life, and we are honored to now celebrate her life with this Purple Flower tribute for all Deceased Alzheimer’s Victims: After living for 10 years in the shadow of her Alzheimer’s diagnosis,  Norma was set free from the prison of a disease without a cure.  Her family celebrated her release and recalled all the blessings of a life well-lived, hoping that someday the PURPLE FLOWER for deceased Alz victims would disappear.” Join Owen in helping us in our efforts to #ENDALZ by registering and fundraising for our 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Please think about ways you could help us cross the finish line together. Thank you in advance, and together we can end Alzheimer's!

Sincerely your 2020 Committee,
