Hi Rotarians,

We will meet at Franklin Pierce University this week.

Tonya Albee has the Invocation.

During our last two Club Assemblies, we have been privileged to hear from two young ladies (Nadia and Shannon) who lived in Indonesia and Brazil, respectively, as part of the Youth Exchange program.  Our third such student, Lexi Smith, will present her Croatia experience at our Thursday meeting.

Raffle Party is coming!  It is important that each Rotarian be selling their Raffle Party tickets NOW.  Please don't wait until the "last minute," as has often been the case in the past.  This is one of our major fundraisers to which ALL in our Club are essential to its success.  Travis Kumph assures me that the committee is hard at work and has several excellent trips/items that will be auctioned off on November 3rd!

Thanks to all who claimed their ice chests and water from our Fireworks Festival water sales -- my garage has breathed a sign of relief!!

I am pleased to share that the Club will be listed as a "Raven" sponsor for the ceremonies on Saturday, September 23rd, that recognize the installation of Dr. Kim Mooney as the sixth president of Franklin Pierce University. The Rotary relationship with Franklin Pierce has been mutually beneficial over the years, and we are pleased to be able to honor President Mooney as our way to thank her and the University that has done much to support our Club.

Our District Governor, Jon Springer, will be at our September 28th meeting; he will be our guest speaker, too.  The Board of Directors will meet with Jon immediately following our breakfast meeting.

Lastly, as have seen in the news, Houston and Florida have been ravaged by the recent hurricanes.  With Hurricane Maria headed to make landfall somewhere on the east coast, let's hope for the best.  Jose is giving New Hampshire minimal problems, as of this writing.  Almost makes you want to wish for cold weather and snow!  Again, please keep those Rotarians and their families who have been in harm's way in your thoughts and prayers.

See you on Thursday!

Yours in service,

bob
