Dear Rotarians,
I was great fun seeing Rotarian Mark Hower's incredible Tuscany food experiences last week! The wild boar pasta looked particularly tasty.
We will meet this Thursday, October 2nd, at Franklin Pierce University at 7:15am. We will not have a speaker, as this will be a Club Assembly, and this is our final meeting before Auction Night on October 17th! We will be reviewing auction items, ticket sales, and things that still need to be accomplished. There is only a bit more than two weeks left!! I reiterate a goal for each of us to have as a target a minimum of $1000 of auctionable items. Please tell Sam Lafortune what you have garnered for auctionable items toward that goal!
Reminder, the ticket cost is $40/person or $75 for two people. Donna Senechal and Sam will be handing out sheets of possible auction donors again and making a notation about whom we have visited.
The following meeting on October 9th will be at Franklin Pierce. Donna Deos, our Rotary District 7870 Governor will be our speaker, as she visits each of her 60+ Rotary Clubs before her term expires at the end of June 2026.
Just a reminder that the Scarecrows on the Common festival is Saturday, October 4th, from 10am - 2pm. Please contact Jim Banghart to volunteer for the hay loft. I believe we may still be short a few Rotarians to help out. I have ordered a couple of "Supported by the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary" banners that we will display at this and other events.
Some other upcoming community events include a Charity Casino Night at RevoCasino in Keene, NH, for the benefit of "Shelter From The Storm" (which we also support). This is free to attend on Saturday, October 4th, from 5:00-8:00pm! Half the house's take will go to Shelter from the Storm. The Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce is hosting (free) "After Hours" on Wednesday, October 15th, from 5:30-7:00pm at the reborn Milliken Manor, 580 Mountain Rd (Route 124), Jaffrey (formerly the Grandview Estates).
Yours in Service,
