Hello fellow Rotarians,

As we move closer to the Fall, I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend.  It was good to see many of you at our weekly meeting this last Thursday.

The Board of Directors will meet tomorrow morning at 8:00am at the Cathedral of the Pines; there is NO weekly breakfast meeting this week, given the Labor Day holiday; however, we will be hosting a dinner event for the Franklin Pierce University football team starting at 5:00pm on Thursday at the Hilltop House at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge.    Thanks to all for their volunteerism and, especially, a huge thank you to Andy Lawn for spearheading this event!

A reminder to block the date for Thursday morning on 9/23 when District Governor John-Bob will be our guest speaker.

I look forward to seeing our club out at full force Thursday evening; our next breakfast meeting will be Thursday, September 16th, at 7:15am at FPU.

Have a great afternoon/week, and enjoy this beautiful afternoon,

Yours in Service,

Ben

Welcome "Home," Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club !

After a year and a half, the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club once again met at our "home" of several years. As a nice surprise, FPU President Kim Mooney came down to our breakfast meeting and welcomed us back

Jed and Jon Do Happy Fines

Jon Frederic and Jed Brummer did the honors with Happy Fines.  Don Upton (center) had Happy Birthday sung to him on his "39th."  Meanwhile, Clay Hollister (bottom) announced he was celebrating with Caroline their 54th wedding anniversary.  Always nice to hear such good news.

Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Honors FPU Football Team -- Andy Lawn Updates

Never one for a loss at words, our Andy Lawn updates his fellow Rotarians on progress for the September 9th Recognition Cookout for the Franklin Pierce University Football Team.  Upwards of 120 players, Rotarians, and spouses are expected at the Lawn residence to honor the Team for their several involvements at Rotary functions over the past few years.

Gotcha', Sam!!

We caught Sam Lafortune in a candid moment, as Harold and Peter Davis looked on.  Good to have Peter back with us after his recent visit to the hospital.
