Dear Rotarians,

The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will not meet this Thursday, November 14, at 7:15 am at Franklin Pierce University due to the Veterans Day celebration on November 11. In honor of veterans, we will celebrate individually or attend different celebration events to recognize their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the country and humanity. Salute to our veterans for their Service above self!

At our last meeting, we enjoyed coffee and breakfast, shared stories, and discussed club activities around each table.  The meeting began at 7:40 am with an invocation led by Rotarian Bill Coleman, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of "America the Beautiful." Our speaker, Roe-Ann Tasoulas, Executive Director of the Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition, gave an outstanding presentation on promoting a sustainable local food system in the Monadnock Region, as well as she encouraged healthy eating within our community. Thank you, Roe-Ann, for your time and insightful message!

Last Saturday, November 8, ten Rotarians and four guests joined the Roadside Cleanup project, cleaning both sides of Route 202 from Emma's 321, covering about a 2-mile stretch toward Jaffrey. Despite the cool wind rushing through the air, everyone enjoyed a rewarding experience. Thank you, Rotarian Andy Lawn, for your leadership in organizing this event, and to all participants for your time and enthusiasm in helping create a cleaner, better environment for our community. Although many Rotarians have expressed interest in participating, some members couldn't join at this time due to their pre-scheduled plans, thus missing the opportunity.

We sincerely appreciate your enthusiasm and commitment to our club. Your involvement is invaluable, and we look forward to your ongoing support.

Yours in Service,

Rudra

Once again, Bob Schaumann was victorious in the bi-annual Fireball Whiskey Nip Bottle Pick-up, defeating President Rudra, 12 to 4.   This information, along with a $1.80, will buy one a small cup of coffee at Dunkin'.  Rudra treated Bob afterwards!
