Greetings, Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarians,
We are back at Franklin Pierce University for our weekly meeting and breakfast on Thursday, January 25th, at 7:15am.
Thanks to Jed Brummer, we also have a timely and knowledgeable speaker in Franklin Pierce University Political Science Professor Frank Cohen. Frank will cover some topics related to Ukraine and the Middle East, and should help us think about some of the challenges awaiting us and our world in 2024. Plan to come and learn something new!
Although we will not hold a Club Assembly in January, we will take a few minutes to consider committee assignments on Thursday. If you are not currently active on a J-R Rotary committee, please give some thought to participating on a committee in which you have an interest. Current active committees include:
- fundraising
- youth exchange
- publicity
- membership
- speakers
- charitable giving
If you are not currently serving on an active committee, please give some thought to this, and let Bill Coleman and me know your thinking.
In the meantime, Treasurer Bill Raymond has sent emails to all Rotarians for the semi-annual dues billing. Please don't delay mailing your checks to Bill at the following address: Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club, Post Office Box 752, Jaffrey, NH, 03452.
Lastly, today is the New Hampshire Presidential Primary Election. The polls in Jaffrey and in Rindge are open to 7:00pm this evening.
Yours in Service,
John and Bill
